CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Clarion County Commissioners are still looking at space options for some of its departments.  Chairman Ted Tharan read a prepared statement at Wednesday night’s meeting.

“Following review by the County Building and Grounds Advisory Committee consisting of public volunteers, the Commissioners are currently looking into the possibility of acquiring a building for the purpose of relocating and/or updating some of the department offices,” said Tharan.

Additional statements regarding the situation will likely be made in the near future, according to Tharan.

Space and renovation questions have also been considered by two former sets of commissioner that led to abandoned plans for renovation, renovation coupled with a courthouse annex, and a separate free-standing building for OES and 911 activities near the Clarion County Jail in Shippenville.
