NWSB has contributed $200,000.00 to The Children’s Scholarship Fund of Pennsylvania in 2016 which will assist families living in low-performing school districts to have a choice in educating their children. The EITC and OSTC programs allow Pennsylvania businesses to redirect their tax dollars to qualifying scholarship organizations and receive a tax credit up to 90 percent.

“Building strong community relationships is important to Northwest Bank,” said Casey O’Toole. “Investing in the education of our children is an investment into the future of the communities we serve. The EITC & OSTC programs make this possible not only for us but for all businesses who qualify under these programs.”

“Working with The Children’s Scholarship Fund of PA has helped us reach out, identify and distribute funding to families in need within our operating footprint. On behalf of Northwest, I’m proud to make this investment and proud to be making a difference.”

Northwest Bank has participated in the EITC program since 2006 and was one of the first businesses to take advantage of Pennsylvania’s OSTC program in 2012. NWB has redirected nearly $400,000.00 to The Children’s Scholarship Fund of PA during that time.
