CLARION, Pa. — The much anticipated Clarion County Fireman’s Memorial was unveiled at a ceremony outside the Clarion County Courthouse Wednesday evening.

The Memorial, which honors firefighters throughout Clarion County, was unveiled with much fanfare with firefighters from many of the county’s fire companies in attendance and speeches by dignitaries including the County Commissioners, State Representative Donna Oberlander, and State Senator Scott Hutchinson.

Father Monty Sayers of Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion gave the benediction.

Fittingly, the ceremony was briefly interrupted about halfway through when the Clarion Volunteer Fire Company received a call about a gas leak and responded in possibly record time.
