Emlenton Man Accused of Threatening to Hit Brother with Baseball Bat, Shoot Sister

ST. PETERSBURG, Pa. (EYT) — An Emlenton man has been accused of aggravated assault and related charges stemming from a domestic incident that occurred on May 3, in St. Petersburg Borough, Clarion County.

According to a court documents, Clarion-based State Police filed criminal charges against 22-year-old Michael Alexander Conner, of Emlenton.

According to a criminal complaint, around 3:30 p.m. on May 3, Michael Alexander Conner allegedly engaged in a domestic disturbance with his brother and sister. It is alleged that Conner picked up a metal baseball bat and pulled it up onto his shoulder as if he were ready to swing the bat and hit his brother.

Conner’s sister stepped in the middle of the two men. Conner dropped the bat and then he allegedly put his hands on his sister’s chest and pushed her back. He also told her that “he would shoot her right now and then picked up the shotgun that was behind the door. He racked the slide on the pump shotgun and pointed the gun at her,” the complaint continues.

“He then put the gun down, grabbed his stuff, and left in his vehicle. He returned to his residence driving his vehicle,” the complaint states.

Conner’s driver’s license is suspended, and his license is expired, according to police.

Based on the information gathered during his investigation, Trooper Yockey, of PSP Clarion, asked the court to issue an arrest warrant for Conner.

He was arraigned at 6:45 p.m. on May 3 in front of Magisterial District Judge Amy Long Turk.

He faces the following charges:

    – Aggravated Assault, Felony 2 (two counts)
    – Terroristic Threats W/ Int To Terrorize Another, Misdemeanor 1 (two counts)
    – Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2 (two counts)
    – Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Misdemeanor 2 (two counts)
    – Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary (two counts)
    – Driving W/O A License, Summary
    – Driving While Operating Privileges Suspended Or Revoked, Summary

Unable to post $25,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Clarion County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on May 27 in Clarion County Central Court.
