Junior Achievement 5k Color Run Proves to Be Colorful Day

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Junior Achievement hosted its annual 5k Color Run in New Bethlehem on Saturday, May 21.

(Pictured above: top three male and female finishers from left to right — third place, Emma Kemmer; second place, Sydney Simpson; and first place, Janelle Pazzuti; for the men, third place, Jeremy Troup; second place, Anthony Rosario-Adams; and first place, Nathan Dongilli with his Gordon Setter, Lotus.)

The run utilized the Redbank Valley Trails Association’s trail starting in New Bethlehem.

Runners and walkers came out and enjoyed the day, getting covered with color powder and having a great time.

Race timing was conducted by Miles of Smiles, and medals were awarded to the top three men and women finishers. The top male finisher was Nathan Dongilli with a time of 19:23. For the women, Janelle Pezzuti finished first with a time of 26:28.

Event proceeds benefit Junior Achievement of Clarion County, which works with local schools to provide children — kindergarten through 12th grade — with the basics of financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness.

The event was sponsored by Community Action Inc.; Primary Health Network; and the Clarion Chamber of Commerce.

Photos were taken by Sandor Cserr, and more can be viewed on the Clarion County Junior Achievement Facebook page.

Clarion County Junior Achievement would like to thank the New Bethlehem Borough and Redbank Valley Trails Association for their support as well.
