CLARION, Pa. — Highland Oaks at Water Run, Clarion’s brand new personal care community, will hold a public Open House on Sunday, June 5.

The event is from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

WRC Senior Services began construction on the building in March of last year.

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the three story complex and enjoy appetizers.

When the new community officially receives its personal care license from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, the 33 residents currently residing at Highland Oaks in Shippenville, as well as the 22 employees will be moved to the new building.

Highland Oaks at Water Run has accommodations for 60 residents, so there will be a number of suites still available for the community.

They are taking reservations now for those suites with 11 already reserved.

A reservation can be secured with a $500.00 fully-refundable deposit by calling Administrator Faith O’Brien at 814-782-3203.

The majority of the accommodations are studio suites, designed for one occupant. They are 327 square feet and include a kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, sink and cupboards, bedroom and living area, vanity area, and bathroom with walk-in shower.

There are a limited number of flex studio suites, designed for two people, such as a husband and a wife.

They are 527 square feet and include a foyer, large kitchenette, bathroom with walk-in shower, bedroom and a living room, which could be utilized as a second bedroom, if desired.

With construction almost complete on Highland Oaks at Water Run, WRC Senior Services will turn its attention to its next building project on the campus — The Villas at Water Run, residential homes designed with active, older adults in mind.

Up to 30 residential homes are planned for the property.

Attendees at the Open House will learn about a special offer available for the month of June to secure special pre-construction pricing.

Highland Oaks at Water Run is currently hiring additional employees. Both full and part-time positions are available for resident aides and dining services assistants. Apply online at www.wrc.org.
