Venus Man Flown to UPMC Hamot Following Alcohol-Related ATV Crash

PINEGROVE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say an alcohol-related crash occurred early this morning on Davis Road, between Keister and Old State Roads, in Pinegrove Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, the accident occurred around 2:33 a.m. as a known 55-year-old Venus man was traveling east on Davis Road on a 1996 Yamaha Timberwolf ATV.

Police say the known man possibly suffered injuries to his head/neck. He was transported to UPMC Hamot via Stat Medevac.

It is believed that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, police say.

Criminal charges are pending BAC results, according to police.

Pinegrove Volunteer Fire Department and Knox Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.

The name of the operator was not released.

No other information was provided.
