Man Critically Wounded in Oil City Stabbing

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – According to Oil City Police Chief Robert Wenner, a man was critically injured in a stabbing that occurred in Oil City last night.

Chief Wenner told exploreVenango.com, “Police arrived on the scene around 10:30 p.m. on the 300 block of East Third Street where a white male was stabbed.”

“The Oil City Fire Department arrived on scene, stabilized the victim. He was then transported to UMPC Northwest where he was life-flighted to Pittsburgh.”

According to Chief Wenner, the victim underwent surgery and is listed in critical condition.

“All persons involved were interviewed by the Oil City Police throughout the night into the early morning hours,” Chief Wenner added.

“We are working with the District Attorney at this time, and the incident is under investigation.”
