CLARION, Pa. — The Clarion Forest Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) held their annual meeting and awards program on May 11 in the fellowship hall of the Trinity Point Church of God in Clarion with breakfast catered by Clarion Vocational Services.

The group was addressed by State Representative Donna Oberlander; Clarion County Commissioner Ted Tharan; Peter Winkler, District Director, Congressman Glenn Thompson’s Office; and Melissa Fulton, Executive Director, United Way of Clarion County.
Jill Over, CEO, Clarion Forest VNA, Inc.; Bob Bubb, President, VNA Board of Directors; and Kathy Linnan, a past Board President presented the employee awards.
The following were recognized for their years of service with the organization:
5 Years of Service Recipients: Cheryl Elslager, Lynnsey McAdoo, and Maria Smathers.
Cheryl Elslager, RN, BSN, of Seneca – Cheryl is a Hospice Nurse Educator.
Lynnsey McAdoo, OTR/L, CLT, of Shippenville – Lynnsey is a Therapy Supervisor.
Maria Smathers, RN, of Limestone – Maria is a nurse on the Hospice Team.
10 Years of Service Recipients: Michele Newhouse and Cindy Selker.
Michele Newhouse, RN, of Clarion – Michele is a nurse on the Home Health Team.
Cindy Selker, RN, of Lucinda – Cindy is a Home Care Coordinator and a Home Health Nurse Educator.
Amy O’Day, of Venus – (no photo, unable to attend) Amy is a Patient Visit Scheduler and a home health aide.
15 Years of Service Recipients: Trudy Reinsel and Colette Vickers.

Jill Over, RN, BSN, of Shippenville – Jill became Chief Executive Officer of the Clarion Forest VNA in January of 1988.
