Clarion State Police Investigate Indecent Assault

WESTMORELAND CO., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say an indecent assault occurred on Center Street, in Fairfield Township, Westmoreland County.

According to police, a 32-year-old New Florence, Pa. victim contacted PSP Clarion to report an assault that took place on May 24 in Westmoreland County.

An interview was conducted with the victim in which she reported being at the suspect’s residence in Bolivar, Pa. when he attacked her outside his home, police say.

The victim reported that the known suspect lifted up her shirt, touched her, and then exposed himself to her. The victim was able to get away from the suspect and leave the area, according to police.

The investigation will be forwarded to PSP Greensburg for additional investigation and criminal charges, police say.

The name of the suspect was not released.
