Knox Man Charged with DUI While on Meth in Salem Township

SALEM TWP., Pa. (EYT) –Clarion-based State Police apprehended a Knox man on May 31, for driving under the influence of methamphetamines along McCleary Road in Salem Township, Clarion County.

Police say around 8:45 p.m. on May 31, Michael Lee Barrett, 48, of Knox, was found to be driving under the influence of methamphetamines on McCleary Road in Salem Township.

Barrett was taken into custody and placed in Clarion County Jail on a probation detainer.

He was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked.

In November 2015, Barrett pleaded guilty to methamphetamine manufacturing charges.
