Knox Woman Flown to Pittsburgh Hospital Following Route 322 Crash

ASHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Knox woman was seriously injured following a June 18 two-vehicle crash in Ashland Township, Clarion County.

Linda Hunsburger, 52, was traveling north on Bus Mong Road when she failed to stop at the roadway’s intersection with State Route 322.

Hunsburger’s 2003 Chevrolet Astrovan was subsequently struck by a vehicle traveling west on State Route 322.

The vehicle — a 2013 Ford F-150 operated by Andrew Solanick, 20, of Tunkhannock, Pa. — collided with the driver’s side of Hunsburger’s van.

Following impact, Hunsburger’s van rolled onto its driver’s side near an embankment.

Hunsburger was flown by medical Helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh for treatment of suspected serious injuries.

Solanick was taken by ambulance to UPMC Northwest for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

Knox VFD, Shippenville-Elk VFD, Shippenville Ambulance, and Frye towing assisted at the scene.
