Truck Crashes into Disabled Vehicle in Scrubgrass Township

SCRUBGRASS TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a two-car crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. on June 20, on Interstate 80, around the 37.3 mile marker, in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, 45-year-old Jose D. Artigas, of Scranton, was traveling west on Interstate 80 at approximately 65 mph when his 2013 Kenworth struck a disabled vehicle located on the shoulder of the roadway.

Artigas’s vehicle and the 2001 Saturn SL2 sustained disabling damage.

Artigas was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

He was charged with a traffic violation.

The 2001 Saturn SL2 was towed from the scene by Tom Hovis Towing.
