BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – A Franklin woman was killed Wednesday night in a Butler County motorcycle crash.
State Police say the crash happened around 6 p.m. on William Flynn Highway in the Slippery Rock area.
The operator of the motorcycle — Donald James Phenicie, 43, of Franklin – was attempting to slow down as he approached traffic that was stopped on the highway.
Phenicie subsequently lost control of the bike. Both the operator and a passenger — Raegan Lynn Phenicie, 42, of Franklin — were thrown from the 2012 Harley-Davidson.
Raegan Phenicie was pronounced dead a short time later.
Donald Phenicie’s condition was not available as of early Thursday morning.
Neither occupant was wearing a helmet, according to police.
