Three Injured in One-Vehicle Crash in Clarion Township

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say around 11:49 a.m. on June 25, a one-vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 80 East, at mile marker 68.5, in Clarion Township.

According to police, this crash occurred as a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country was traveling east on I-80 in the left lane and left the roadway to the left.

The driver — 54-year-old Lori A. Bastian, of Milton, Pa. — steered back to the right. Once back in the travel lanes, the vehicle began to yaw back to the left and then left the roadway again to the left. The right front of the vehicle struck the guide rails. After impact, the vehicle spun approximately 180 degrees and came to a rest mostly in the left lane facing south.

Clarion Hospital EMS transported Bastian and two passengers — 31-year-old Amy N. Bastian, of Milton, Pa., and 76-year-old Thelma L. George, of Muncy, Pa. — to Clarion Hospital for suspected minor injuries.

All occupants were using seat belts.

The left lane of I-80 East was closed for a short period of time to clear the wreckage.

PSP Clarion was assisted at the scene by Corsica VFD, Clarion Hospital Ambulance, and Leadbetter’s Towing.
