Garage Destroyed by Fire in Clarion Township

CLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion Fire & Hose Company No. 1 and Strattanville Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire along Route 322 in Clarion Township.

Clarion County 911 says the call came in around 4:01 p.m. on June 28, reporting a garage caught fire behind a Clarion Township residence.

Don Wilshire, who lives in the residence beside the above referenced garage, called 911.

According to Wilshire, some trash in the garage caught fire, igniting the blaze. He said the garage was used to store lawnmowers, and no one was injured.

Doris McNaughton — owner of the garage — said it was not a great loss, stating that the structure was already in poor condition.

“The big thing is nobody was hurt,” McNaughton said.
