Clarion University Wrestling Golf Outing Being Held Aug. 5

CLARION, Pa. — Registration is now open for the Clarion University Wrestling Golf Outing, which will take place Friday, Aug. 5 at Clarion Oaks Golf Club.

Breakfast and registration will begin at 8:15 a.m. with groups teeing off at 9:30 a.m.

The event will feature a day of fun and fellowship for friends of the Golden Eagle wrestling program with proceeds helping to provide the funding for projects deemed necessary to the success of Clarion wrestling.

The cost of the event is $80 per person and includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, drinks and snacks and a full meal following golf. Door prizes, skill challenges and other awards are also included in the registration cost.

In addition, “The Famous Jack Irwin Bean Bag Toss Championship” will also take place at the outing. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and will include an hour-long practice round. The double-elimination tournament will begin at noon. The cost to enter is $35 for ages 15 and older and $15 for those ages 9-14; participants under the age of eight are free. Included in the cost are drinks, refreshments and a full meal later in the afternoon.

Type: Scramble with a shotgun start and skill contests

Cost: $80 per person

Includes: Breakfast, 18 holes of golf, cart, drinks and snacks, a full meal following golf (approx. 2 p.m.), skill challenges, door prizes and awards.
