HIGHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) – The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission has filed multiple charges against a 28-year-old Clarion man following a June 27 incident in Highland Township, Clarion County.

Waterways Conservation Officer Pochron filed the following summary charges against Hunter M. Rathman, 28, of Clarion:

  • Fleeing Or Attempt To Elude Officer, 2 counts
  • Interfering with Officer Performing Duties, 2 counts
  • Disorderly Conduct Hazardous/Physical Offense, 2 counts
  • Violating Rules/Regulations Equipment Requirements
  • Littering Near Waters
  • Producing Identification
  • Public Drunkenness and Similar Misconduct

Court documents filed on July 1 indicate that the incident occurred on June 27 around 8:10 p.m. after authorities instructed Rathman not to jump off of Toby Bridge. Then, Rathman allegedly proceeded to jump off of the bridge, which is prohibited by law.

Rathman also allegedly had a beer bottle in his hand when he jumped; however, when Rathman came to shore, he did not have the beer bottle in his hand, prompting the littering citation.

Court documents allege that Rathman was “under the influence of alcohol to the degree that he endangered himself and other persons.”

According to court documents, he allegedly failed to produce identification and then fled the scene.

Rathman was charged via summons at District Judge Timothy P. Schill’s office in Shippenville.
