Police Mum on Monroe Twp. McDonald’s Robbery

CLARION, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police aren’t releasing any additional information into the armed robbery that occurred early Monday morning at the McDonald’s in Monroe Township, Clarion County.

According to Trooper William Cradduck of the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop C Clarion, it is currently an “active investigation” and the State Police aren’t ready to give out any additional updates at this point.

Initial reports from Craddock Monday said the Perkins Road fast food restaurant was robbed at gunpoint around 2:30 a.m. Monday, July 11.

At least three employees were in the store at the time of the robbery. A manager at the store Monday confirmed the incident but declined to comment. Group Management, Inc. (G.R.P.) of Strattanville, which owns the Monroe Township McDonald’s, also declined comment when contacted by EYT Media Wednesday directing all questions to a corporate headquarters number that turned out to be an internal employee number. An e-mail to McDonald’s Corporate Headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois wasn’t immediately returned Wednesday.
