FOREST CO., Pa. — Road closures during daylight work hours are anticipated on a portion of Route 3004 (Little Hickory Road) in Forest County.

The daytime closures, which are expected to begin Monday, are required due a resurfacing project now under way on Little Hickory Road from the intersection with Route 62 in Hickory Township to the intersection with German Hill Road in Green Township.

Detours were not initially anticipated, but now closures will be required due to full-width paving operations on areas of the project.

Flaggers will direct motorists to alternate routes.

The project was initially scheduled to be completed by the end of August, but with full-width paving, it now could be complete as early as the end of July, weather permitting.

PennDOT urges motorists to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers. Drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.
