State Police Calls: DUI, Simple Assault

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — DUI charges and a simple assault were among the most recent reports released by Clarion-based State Police Tuesday.

DUI charges filed against Brookville man

DUI charges were filed in District Court 18-3-04 against 21-year-old Charles Joseph Miller of Brookville after a traffic stop in the early-morning hours of June 25 in Hawthorne, Clarion County.

Tpr. Shane Buffone was on daily patrol on Route 28 and stopped Miller for a traffic violation. After further investigation, the suspect was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Known man assaults two in Clarion County

State police are investigating the simple assault of two Chicora, Pa. residents by a known 31-year-old man from Templeton, Pa. at 1:30 a.m., Saturday, July 2 at Squirrel’s Nest, Madison Township in Clarion County.

The suspect engaged in a physical altercation with two Chicora residents. He struck both victims, causing minor injuries and then left the scene.
