CLARION, Pa. — Water Run Landing, WRC Senior Services’ newest senior living community in Clarion, is hosting a “Movie in the Park” night on Wednesday, August 17.

The event begins at 7:30 p.m.

Guests will be able to enjoy a free outdoor showing of “The Wizard of Oz” as well as Oz-themed snacks, decorations, and pre-movie activities.

“We are excited to invite the community in to share a movie with our residents,” said Highland Oaks at Water Run Administrator Faith O’Brien. “We are bringing the fun of a drive-in movie to our back yard. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy big screen entertainment.”

The address of the new community is 300 Water Run Road in Clarion.

Located just off of 5th Avenue in Clarion, Water Run Landing is WRC’s newest senior living community. The campus includes the new Highland Oaks at Water Run personal care community, replacing the current Highland Oaks personal care in Shippenville, and the soon-to-be-built Villas at Water Run, a service-enriched residential living community.

Highland Oaks at Water Run includes accommodations for 60 residents in private studio apartments and is currently accepting applications for residency.

The Villas will be a residential living community on the campus of Water Run Landing where residents are able to choose from several different models of homes. The residential homes are scheduled to be built in phases as they are reserved, with phase one of construction beginning in July.

Residents of both Highland Oaks and the Villas enjoy priority access to other services and care provided by WRC, including short stay rehab at McKinley Health Center at Laurelbrooke Landing in Brookville, and the home care, home health and hospice services of In Home Solutions, WRC’s home health care agency.
