YMCA Day Camp Visits Pittsburgh Children’s Museum

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Children at YMCA Summer Day Camp visited the Pittsburgh Children’s Museum on Friday, July 22, and had a blast exploring science and history.

About 50 YMCA Day Campers participated in the field trip.

Adventure is right next door each week of summer with YMCA Summer Day Camp. In addition to the adventures and field trips, children socialize and gain new friendships.

Summer Day Camp is held at YMCA Camp Coffman in Cranberry, PA each week for ages 6 to 12.

Outdoor activities include horseback riding, zip lining, climbing, nature walks, swimming, games, and field trips. Each week a new theme is introduced.

YMCA Summer Day Camp is run by the Oil City and Clarion County YMCAs from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Both Y’s provide transportation and extended care. Children may be dropped off and picked up at the YMCA from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A healthy lunch and snack are provided.

The Clarion County YMCA hours are: Weekdays 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The YMCA is closed on Sundays through September 3.
