PAINT TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — A bear vs. car collision in Paint Township, Clarion County resulted in the driver’s car being towed from the scene.

Karen Wedekind, 60, of Knox, was driving east on Route 322 Wednesday around 10 a.m. when a black bear ran onto the road.

Wedekind swerved to try and miss the bear, but her 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix struck the animal and then went into the westbound lane and struck the bridge rail.

Wedekind was wearing her seatbelt and wasn’t injured.
