Betty P. Fenstermaker

Betty P. Fenstermaker, 93, of Sligo, formerly of Clarion and Kingsville, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at the Clarview Nursing Center in Sligo.

Betty was born on June 17, 1923, in New Bethlehem; daughter of the late David Bennet and Alice Mae McMaster Platt.

She graduated from Porter Twp. Consolidated School in 1941.

She was married on May 5, 1947, to Floyd William Fenstermaker. They first lived in New Bethlehem, then moved to Summerville, and then Kingsville. Mr. Fenstermaker preceded her in death on July 11, 1985. Betty then
moved to Liberty Towers in Clarion in 2006.

Betty worked for the former Phero’s Market in Clarion and the Town and Country Dry Cleaning in Clarion.

She was a member of the New Rehobeth Greenville Presbyterian Church where she served as Elder and Sunday School Teacher. She was proud to have a 31-year perfect attendance for Sunday School.

Betty was a member of the Kingsville Homemakers, and was also a member of the Clarion County Senior Volunteers where she received volunteer of the month in January of 2013. She volunteered at several Nursing
Homes. Betty made lap Robes, neck pillows, and over 200 walker bags. She also did mending at the Nursing Homes for residences.

Betty is survived by one daughter, Shelby J. Troutman and her husband Henry of Kingsville and three grandchildren, Michael Troutman of Clarion, Michele Troutman of Binghamton, N.Y., and Rachael Troutman of
Edinboro.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016, at the New Rehobeth Greenville Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James Dietrich, pastor as presider.

Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
