Georgetta L. Shorts, 70, formerly of Oil City, died at 10:05 pm, Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Autumn Grove Care Center in Harrisville.

Born April 9, 1946 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd H. Sampsell and Nina Mae Winger Sampsell.

Georgetta is survived by her three daughters, Leslie Shawgo of Sligo, Tammy Shorts of Centerville, and Tracy Cain of North Jackson OH; 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, Lloyd H. Sampsell, Jr., and Ronald Sampsell, both of Dempseytown; two sisters, Barb Hedegore of Franklin and Karen Farabaugh of Erie; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Sampsell; t20 grandchildren, Joshua Cain and Cody Cain, and two great grandchildren, Emma Shawgo and Tristan Shorts.

There will be no visitation.

Services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
