State Police Calls: Theft, Resisting Arrest, DUI

CLARION CO., Pa (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Theft from Motor Vehicle in Limestone Township

A theft occurred sometime between 12:10 p.m. and 12:40 p.m. on August 18 at a parking lot in Limestone Township.

Police say the perpetrator(s) entered the victim’s vehicle and removed cash and checks.

The victim is Miller’s Quality Meats of Butler, Pa.

Resisting Arrest in Monroe Township

According to police, an incident of resisting arrest occurred sometime between 9:07 p.m. and 11:32 p.m. on August 17 at Clarion Psychiatric Center in Monroe Township.

PSP Clarion was called to the Clarion Psychiatric Center to assist mental health workers with serving an involuntary psychiatric commitment for a known individual.

The individual refused to comply with instructions of mental health workers and police. He became combative with police.

The subject was eventually restrained and lodged in the Clarion Psychiatric Center.

The investigation is continuing.

DUI in Monroe Township

A DUI arrest was made around 1:15 p.m. on August 20 on Trinity Drive, in Monroe Township.

Police say a known 54-year-old Knox woman was found to be in control of a vehicle at the above location while under the influence of alcohol.

The investigation is continuing, according to police.
