Delores Joy Miller, 79, of Lewistown, Pa., formerly of Marienville, died on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital in Lewistown, Pa.

Delores was born April 4, 1937, in Marienville, Pa. to A. Keith and Charlotte E. (Collier) Whiteman.

She was married to Ray J. Miller Jr., who preceded her in death in 1976. She was a housewife and sold Avon products. Her hobbies included reading, history, and baseball.

Delores is survived by a daughter, Susan “Andrew” Oja of Lewistown, Pa., a son, Thomas L. “Debby” Walters of Union, Ohio, two sisters, Bette Zimmerman of Marienville, Pa. and Nancy Allio of Cooperstown, PA, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry St. Marienville, Pa., with Rev. Dan Richter, Pastor of Marienville United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place in North Forest Cemetery, Marienville.
