SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Everyone is invited to an Open House on Tuesday, September 13, at the newly remodeled Adult Daily Living Center in Shippenville.
The Open House is from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 405 Main Street in Shippenville, Pa.
Light refreshments will be available.
Opened in 1997, the Adult Daily Living Center was housed on the West End of Main Street in Clarion before moving to its current location in Shippenville.
The center is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The services offered include a program of therapeutic activities encouraging stabilization and maintaining or increasing level of function, information and support to care givers, beautician service, Alzheimer care, personal care, health monitoring, and a noon meal.
The facility is fully handicap accessible.
The Adult Daily Living Center provides a safe and comfortable environment for individuals that need a little extra help to cope with the routines of everyday life.
The center is licensed by the PA Department of Aging.
The eligibility requirements are simple. One must be 18 years of age or older and require supervision due to physical and/or mental impairment.
Respect for preserving the participant’s dignity is an important aspect of the program. Group or individual activities promote enhancing lifetime memories and range from intergenerational activities and reminiscing, to exercise, games, and crafts.
The VNA also provides services in parts of Jefferson, Armstrong, Venango, and Butler counties. They provide skilled home health services, hospice care, private duty, and companion services to those recovering from illness, the homebound, and those in the final stages of life.
Most services are provided in the client’s home.
