Norma Jean Gourley

Norma Jean Gourley, age 87, of Clarion, died on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at Clarview Nursing Home.

Born on April 10, 1929, in Rimersburg, Clarion County, she was the daughter of John and Anna Mary (Carnahan) King. She married Nobel B. Gourley on January 18, 1955. He passed away on January 21, 1995.

Mrs. Gourley was an employee of Emerson’s Restaurant for several years. She also worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart in Monroe Township.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Anna (Dick) Pollum; three sons, Gail (Cathy) King, Punk (Peg) Gourley, John (Linda) Gourley; four daughters, Sherll (Lewis) Kiehl, Debra (Gary) Kiehl, Orpha (John) Knight, Martha Lynn (Dale) Miller; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

Mrs. Gourley was preceded in death by her parents, husband Nobel, one sister, Faye Riley, five brothers, Samuel, Gail, David, Jack and Paul, and a daughter Mary L. Murphy, two grandsons and a great-grandson.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home in Clarion. As per Norma’s request, there will be no public service. Interment will be in the Leatherwood Cemetery, Porter Township, Clarion County.
