State Police Calls: DUI, Assault, Death Investigations, Terroristic Threats, Endangering Welfare

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

DUI/Act 64 Violation in Limestone Township

State Police say a DUI/Act 64 Violation occurred around 1:48 a.m. on August 26, along Route 66 at Limestone Road, in Limestone Township.

According to police, a known 21-year-old Clarion male was observed committing a traffic violation.

A traffic stop was conducted, and the suspect showed signs of intoxication. He was arrested under suspicion of DUI.

Police also found the suspect to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Charges for DUI are pending BAC results.

Simple Assault of Infant in Clarion Township

According to State Police, around 8:00 a.m. on August 25, an assault occurred at Robinwood Apartments, in Clarion Township.

Police are investigating the alleged assault of a one-year-old male by a known 26-year-old Clarion man. The suspect reportedly caused bruising to the victim by throwing him onto a couch.

The investigation is ongoing.

Death Investigation in Monroe Township

State Police are investigating the death of a 34-year-old Verona man in Monroe Township that occurred around 8:00 a.m. on August 25.

According to police, the victim was discovered by a co-worker when he failed to arrive for work in the morning.

An autopsy was conducted by the Erie County Coroner’s office.

The investigation is ongoing.

Death Investigation in Clarion Township

State Police are investigating the unexpected death of a 44-year-old male on August 26, at his residence on Ridge Avenue, in Clarion Township.

No further details are available at this time.

The investigation is continuing.

Terroristic Threats in Clarion Township

State Police are investigating an incident of terroristic threats occurred on August 18, at a residence in Clarion Township.

The investigation was initiated after police received report of a known 34-year-old male threatening a known 32-year-old male.

The investigation is ongoing.

Endangering the Welfare of a Minor in Clarion Township

State Police say an incident of endangering the welfare of a minor occurred from 2007 to the present, at a location along Route 322 in Clarion Township.

The known 13-year-old female victim has reportedly not received reasonable care for an existing condition, which has endangered her health.
