Local Business Spotlight: Keep ‘Em Home Pet Services

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Local pet-sitting business Keep ‘Em Home Pet Services provides in-home care for animals ranging from dogs and cats to cows and horses. The year-old business, owned and operated by Ginger Glenn, serves Clarion County and surrounding areas.

An alternative to pet boarding, the business offers a variety of services including daily check-ins, overnight care, maintenance, pet walks, and rides to the groomer, boarder, or vet’s office.

Ginger said Keep ‘Em Home Pet Services allows animals to remain in their normal environment while their owners are at work or on vacation. She also helps elderly pet owners who may not be able to maintain the animals by themselves.

“I know that there are people who have elderly dogs or cats that get stressed out when they leave their home, and this service keeps that from happening,” Ginger explained. “They can stay at home and stay in their own environment. I think it relieves my clients’ minds to know that the animals are home, comfortable, doing their own routine, but yet someone is still taking care of them and at the same time, checking out the house.”

Ginger provides other in-home services like picking up mail and watering plants. She also offers an optional key service where clients give Glenn a house key, so she can provide care as needed.

New clients can set up an initial appointment with Ginger in order for her to meet pets and gather any medical information she may need. This also gives her the chance to meet pets and gauge her compatibility with them.

Ginger does not limit herself to the types of animals she will care for, as evidenced by the business’s motto, “From woofs to hoofs, we keep your pets happy at home!”

She keeps pets as close to their usual schedules as possible, a service she says is not offered elsewhere in the county.

“Whatever is needed to help take care of your pet, I will do,” Ginger said.

Keep ‘Em Home Pet Services has taken off recently, and Ginger has hired another employee on an as-needed basis.

Ginger said she has had excellent feedback from her clients and loves that her job allows her to enjoy a wide range of animals.

“[Clients] are really relieved and tickled that there is a service like this here,” Ginger said.
