Pickup Crashes into Tree in Toby Township

TOBY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a one-vehicle crash occurred around 9:10 p.m. on August 23 on Curllsville Road, approximately one mile north of UP Church Road, in Toby Township, Clarion County.

Police say 18-year-old Carter W. Shipley, of Clarion, was traveling south on Curllsville Road, and his Ford F150 pickup crossed the center of the roadway and exited the road.

The pickup impacted a tree and then continued into the woods and came to a rest adjacent to the roadway.

Shipley and a known, 17-year-old Rimersburg male were using seat belts and suffered suspected minor injuries.

Shipley was charged with a traffic violation.

Southern Clarion County Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
