Knox Man Jailed After Allegedly Punching, Kicking Teen Multiple Times in Venango County

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police responded to an alleged domestic assault that occurred around 1:08 p.m. on August 27, on Valley Church Road, in Richland Township, Venango County.

According to police, 41-year-old Matthew Allan Fosbaugh, of Knox, allegedly assaulted an 18-year-old male at the above described location.

Fosbaugh allegedly “punched and kicked the victim multiple times, causing visible injuries to the victim’s head, chest, stomach, and back,” police say.

“(Fosbaugh) fled the residence before troopers arrived on scene,” according to police.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Fosbaugh, and he was subsequently taken into custody when he was located, police say.

He was arraigned at 11:15 p.m. on August 27 in front of Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey on the following charges:

– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

Unable to post $10,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on August 31 in Venango County Central Court.
