Man Flees Scene Following Crash on Route 66

PAINT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a known man fled the scene after crashing his vehicle on August 27, on Paint Boulevard in Paint Township, Clarion County.

According to police, around 4:18 a.m. on August 27, 22-year-old Cody T. Bruner, of Brookville, was traveling south on Route 66 when his 2000 Pontiac Bonneville exited the roadway off the west shoulder and struck a pipe/pole and then a mailbox.

The vehicle came to a rest on the south lane of Route 66.

Bruner fled the scene, according to police.

He was not injured, police say.

He was charged with a driving traffic violation.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
