BARNETT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say a domestic assault occurred around 6:30 p.m. on September 4 at a camping site, in Barnett Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, a known male and a known female arrived at PSP Marienville and reported that “they had been assaulted by 31-year-old Jackie L. Smigas, of Munhall, Pa.”

Smigas was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Simple Assault and two counts of Harassment.

She was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
