Traffic Stop Leads to DUI Arrest in Summerville Borough

SUMMERVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Punxsutawney-based State Police say a Brookville man has been charged with DUI following a traffic stop in Summerville Borough, Jefferson County.

Police say around 10:12 p.m. on August 26, a known, 35-year-old Brookville man was stopped after he was observed committing a summary traffic violation on State Route 28, at Carrier Street, in Summerville Borough.

During the stop, the suspect was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. It was further determined that the suspect was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance.

Charges were filed at Magisterial District Office 54-3-03.
