YMCA News: Teen Intro to Fitness Class Registration Announced

CLARION, Pa. — Does your teen need some motivation to get fit or become a stronger athlete? …Your teen can work out with a personal trainer twice a week at the YMCA in the new Teen Intro to Fitness class this fall.

Intro to Fitness is a 10-week program focused on getting teen-aged youth active and educated in physical fitness. Participants will be coached through workouts containing flexibility, strength, cardio, speed-agility-quickness, and balance.

Proper execution of all exercises will be taught by certified personal trainer and performance enhancement specialist, Duane Schmader.

The program will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning September 12 and ending November 16.

The cost of the program is $60.00 for YMCA Members and $120.00 for non-members.

The Clarion County YMCA hours are: Weekdays 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Y will be open on Sundays, starting September 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
