Police: SCI-Forest Inmate Assaults Three Employees

JENKS TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police are investigating an aggravated assault that occurred around 12:50 p.m. on September 8 at SCI-Forest, in Marienville, Jenks Township, Forest County.

Police say a known, 36-year-old male inmate struck a known, 37-year-old male SCI Forest employee multiple times in the head with closed fists causing lacerations requiring stitches.

Two other SCI Forest staff — a known, 38-year-old male and a known, 47-year-old male — were exposed to OC spray (pepper spray) after the suspect was able to gain control of it, according to police.

The investigation continues.

No other information was released.
