Farmington Twp. VFC Holds Flagpole Dedication, Celebrates Fire Station Expansion

FARMINGTON Twp., Pa. (EYT) — The Farmington Township Volunteer Fire Company dedicated their new flagpole and celebrated their fire station expansion Saturday.

State Rep. Donna Oberlander and Clarion County Commissioners Ted Tharan and Ed Heasley spoke during the open house.

The flag pole was donated by Dan Siegel of Woodmen Insurance.

The company thanked several area businesses for their support of the expansion project, including Commodore Homes, Carmate Trailers, Bob Snyder Construction, Snyder Autobody, Farmington Twp. Supervisors, Ochs Lumber, Fryburg Sportsmans Club, Lucinda Antler Club, Woodmen of the World Life Insurance, Greg Borland, Bauer Excavating, Ken Flick and members of the FTVFC and its Auxiliary.

Firefighters rose the American flag and then there was a moment of silence, followed by the pledge of allegiance.

St. Mary’s Church Choir sang at the event and Fr. Christopher Barnes gave the invocation and closing prayer.
