Sarah Suzanne “Suzie” Raymond

Sarah Suzanne “Suzie” Avery Raymond, 72, of Warren, PA died Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Warren General Hospital.

Suzie was born February 6, 1944, in Brookville, PA. She was the daughter of the late Russell F. and Sarah W. (Gilmore) Avery.

Suzie was a 1962 graduate of Clarion Area High School. She lived in the Warren area for many years and retired from the Blair Corporation. She was a member of the Helen Furnace United Methodist Church in Clarion County. She was also an affiliate member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Warren, where she was involved in the Persuaders Sunday School enjoyed singing. She enjoyed going to Peppermill with her friends after church and always looked forward to coffee and conversation. She also enjoyed church and family get-togethers.

She is survived by four sisters, Dianne Hoagland, and husband, John, of Twelve Mile, IN, Nancy Anderson, of Warren, PA, Cheryl Avery, of Clarion, PA, and E. Ruth Troutman, and husband, Barry, of New Bethlehem, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews and her church family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on December 29, 2010, by her husband, Jerrold “Jerry” B. Raymond, whom she married June 7, 1986, at Epworth United Methodist Church in Warren; a nephew, Thomas Anderson; and brother-in-law, Don Anderson.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penn. Ave. E., Warren, on Thursday, September 15, from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m.

The funeral will be held at Covenant United Methodist Church, 1624 Pennsylvania Ave., E., Warren, PA on Friday, September 16, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Erica Wellner, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Helen Furnace Cemetery, Clarion County.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Covenant United Methodist Church, or a charity of choice.
