Dr. Rosemary (Rosie) M. Moss, PhD, 76, died September 14, 2016 at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River FL following a short illness.
Born in Franklin, PA to Charles T. and Jeanne (McKenzie) Mahaffey, she is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jim and her sister Lillian Cassells who resides in Sheppardstown, WV.
Rosie and Jim married in 1953 and relocated to Atlanta where they worked and enjoyed a 25-year stint as a successful, competitive sailing team.
Rosie earned her BA in Dramatic Arts from the University of North Carolina in 1962 and Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from Georgia State University in 1976. She practiced Psychology in both the public and private sector in Atlanta until her retirement in 1993.
Rosie and her husband relocated from Atlanta to Crystal River, FL in 2008 where she avidly enjoyed photography, digital art and her beloved cats and dog or curling up with a good book and a beer.
