Traffic Stop on Route 66 Leads to DUI Arrest

PAINT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — According to Clarion-based State Police, a traffic stop early yesterday morning on State Route 66 in Paint Township led to a DUI arrest.

Around 1:23 a.m. on September 17, PSP Clarion was on daily patrol on US 322 at Route 66 in Paint Township, and a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for a traffic violation.

Police say further investigation revealed a controlled substance in plain view. The suspect — a 34-year-old Brookville man — was also under the influence of a controlled substance.

The suspect was taken into custody for DUI.

Charges will be filed before District Court 18-3-02.

The name of the suspect was not released.
