Donna B. Boyer

Donna B. Boyer, 89, of Laurel Terrace Road, Franklin, went to her home in Heaven on Sunday night, September 18, 2016. She passed away at her home where she was lovingly cared for by her family.

She was a daughter of the late Charles and Etta (Bickel) Beebe, born in Van on February 9, 1927. She was one of ten children.

Donna attended Cranberry Schools. She then worked various jobs, including the Card Factory in Reno, Penn Air Tire, Cranberry School District, and she retired from the Pennsylvania Game Commission office in Franklin.

Donna was an excellent cook, enjoyed crocheting, and visiting on the phone with friends and family.

She loved the Lord and was a faithful prayer warrior. She read her Bible every day. She attended the Seneca Evangelical Congregational Church when her health permitted.

She was married on January 6, 1944, to Edgar “Bud” Boyer, and he preceded her in death on March 3, 1996.

Surviving are two daughters, Delores J. Huffman of Franklin and Eileen K. Morrison and her husband Donald of Titusville; four grandchildren, Brent Huffman and his wife Tina of Orlando, Florida, Brian Huffman and his wife Angela of Seneca, Shelly Ghrist and her husband David of Lenexa, Kansas, and Tammy McGill and Curtis; two step-grandchildren, Crystal and Dianna; 10 great-grandchildren: Eric, Kyle, Josh, Rachel, Ryan, Jared, Jordan, Monica, Alyssa, and Sophia; three step-great-grandchildren, Christopher, Melissa, and Lindsay; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Donna is also survived by two sisters, Joyce Dunkle and her husband Terri of Georgia, and Esther Rea and her husband Fred of Butler; and a sister-in-law, Emmy Hurrelbrink and her husband Bob of Kossuth.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Bill, Warren, Paul, and Carl; three sisters, Mae, Sara, and Anna; her son-in-law, Leroy D. Huffman; and a great-granddaughter, Stephanie K. Huffman.

A private graveside committal service will be held for the immediate family in the Heckathorn Cemetery in Seneca, officiated by Rev. Janor Bestwick, pastor the Seneca E.C. Church.

The Hile-Best Funeral Home in Seneca, Cranberry Township is completing funeral arrangements.
