Price compiled six total tackles, four tackles for loss, two quarterback sacks and a forced fumble that Pitt scooped up for a touchdown against the Cowboys. His TFLs went for 15 yards in losses.

A native of Rankin, Pa., and graduate of Woodland Hills High School, Price is producing at an All-America rate in the opening month of the season. He leads the nation in forced fumbles (1.00 per game) and ranks fourth in quarterback sacks (1.50 avg.) and tackles for loss (2.50 avg.). His season totals through three games are 11 tackles, 7.5 TFLs, 4.5 sacks, six quarterback hurries and three forced fumbles.

This is the third time in his career Price has been named the ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week. He was previously honored during the 2015 season for his performances against Notre Dame and Louisville.

Last year, Price was a first team All-ACC performer after collecting 19.5 TFLs and 11.5 sacks. Placing third in the 2015 balloting for ACC Defensive Player of the Year, he figures to be a top candidate for the honor this season.

Price and the Panthers (2-1) open ACC play this Saturday at North Carolina (2-1). The game will be nationally televised by ESPNU and kickoff at 3:30 p.m.
