SENECA, Pa. — Ken Mong, a member of the Oil Region football officials chapter, and some of his colleagues will be hosting a month-long, once-a-week clinic for free in Venango County for anyone interested in becoming a football official.

At the clinic, which will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays from Oct. 19 through Nov. 16 at Klapec Auto Body (180 Regina Dr. Cranberry, next to Wal-Mart), the current PIAA football officials will go over and discuss football rules using the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) rules book, which each participant will receive. At the Nov. 16 session, the PIAA football officials exam will be administered.

While there is no fee to attend the sessions, the PIAA has a $30 fee to register as an official.
