The Golden Eagles (2-5-1, 2-4-1 PSAC) will be on the road this weekend when they face East Stroudsburg.

Clarion had the best of the chances throughout the first half of action, possessing the ball well and putting three shots on net. The Griffins countered in the second half, though, putting seven shots on net to Clarion’s three and scoring twice.

The Golden Eagles and Griffins played to a draw for the first 49 minutes of action, but a penalty kick goal by Seton Hill’s Emily LoPresti in the 50th minute put the Griffins ahead by one tally. Aaliyah Odom had the opportunity to tie the game just moments later, when she was shoved down in the box and had a penalty kick opportunity of her own. Odom aimed for the low lefthand corner, but Jessica Neill dove to her right to deny the goal.

Clarion’s best opportunity to take an early lead came in the 18th minute, with Odom again playing the aggressor. She received a long pass ahead and headed it towards the net, with Neill tipping the ball just north of the crossbar and into the football goalpost. Though Erin Rodgers followed up and tapped it in the net, the goal was waved off as the play should have ended.
