Two Local Men Cause Disturbance at Local Bar; Crash, Abandon Borrowed Car

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — Two Clarion County men are facing criminal charges stemming from an incident that occurred at a local bar in the borough of Clarion.

According to online court documents, Clarion Borough Police Department filed criminal charges against 25-year-old Brandon James Myers, of Shippenville, and 25-year-old Eric Allen Myers, of Strattanville.

According to a criminal complaint, around 12:38 a.m. on September 26, Clarion Office of Emergency Services (OES) dispatched Officer Wright, of the Clarion Borough Police Department, to a local bar for two male actors causing problems in the bar.

The complaint states that while Officer Wright was on route to the scene, dispatch advised that the two individuals left in a silver Chevrolet Impala. The car was located wrecked and abandoned on a turn on South Seventh Avenue/Barber Street. The vehicle had left the roadway and destroyed handrails and landscaping that goes down over to Clarion Elementary School.

According to the complaint, the bar’s doorman advised Officer Wright that “Brandon Myers was in the bar with another male, and they each had approximately three beers and started harassing the bartender. The bartender advised (Myers) that he was visibly intoxicated and shut him off. (Myers) became upset with the bartender and started making comments to her.”

When the doorman realized that “(Myers) was on the ‘black list’ and not permitted in the bar, he told him to leave. (Myers) began pushing the doorman, and the doorman physically removed him and locked the door,” the complaint states.

The other male asked the doorman if he had to leave, and he was told ‘no.’ Approximately 15 minutes later, “the male left the establishment. Staff heard a loud thud on the side of the building and went out to check. (Myers) and the other male were standing outside throwing 12-ounce beer cans with beer in them at the side of the building,” the complaint indicates.

The two allegedly attempted to fight staff; however, when police were called, the males fled in the Impala. Myers was in the passenger seat of the vehicle, the complaint continues.

During the investigation, it was learned that the owner of the Impala left her car in the possession of her daughter who lives in a trailer court in Strattanville. The daughter stated that “she let Eric Allen Myers use her car around 10:30 p.m., and Brandon Myers was with him,” according to the complaint.
