Listen Live Tonight as Clarion Tries to Remain Unbeaten When It Travels to Moniteau on the RRR Roadhouse KSAC Football Game of the Week

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Coming off a big win over rival Clarion-Limestone last week that doubled as head coach Larry Wiser’s 200th career victory, Clarion is hoping to avoid a letdown this week when it travels to Moniteau for the second of two Week 5 2016 Explore Radio RRR Roadhouse KSAC Football Games of the Week.

Fans can catch all the action starting with the Kerle Tire Pregame Show at 6:30 p.m. with Bob “The Governor” Dunkle and Mike Kalinowski on the call. Kickoff from “The Swamp” in West Sunbury is set for 7 p.m.

Fans can listen to the game live on exploreClarion.com as well as with the ExploreRadio/ExploreClarion app (fans should click on the ExploreClarion feed on the app for the game). Fans who don’t already have the app can download it for both Apple and Android.

Clarion is 4-0 for the first time since starting 14-0 in 2013 when it won its last District 9 championship. The Bobcats drubbed C-L, 34-14, last week in a game a lot of people thought the Lions were going to win. Mike McCloskey scored five touchdowns — four rushing and one receiving -and Colton Rapp ran for over 200 yards in a game that saw Clarion overcome an early 8-0 hole.

Rapp has already rushed for 600 yards on the season and four touchdowns, and first-year starting quarterback Spencer Miller has nine touchdown passes among his 22 completions with five of them going to Ty Burford. North Clarion student Sam Minich (three touchdowns) has quietly become another key weapon for Clarion.

Defensively, the Bobcats have given up just 22 points on the year and should present a challenge to Moniteau’s first-year starting quarterback Chance Nagy, only a sophomore.

Nagy came out on fire in his debut completing three straight passes to start his career. But the going has gotten a little rougher for the young signal caller, and he is coming off a 1-for-9 performance in a 33-6 win over Keystone last week, although he did score a pair of rushing touchdowns.

Freshman Nick Martino had the best game of his young career for the Warriors (2-2) in the win over Keystone rushing for 79 yards. Mitch DiMaria and Corey Goyak also get carries for the Warriors, and Dalton Anderson is one of the most exciting players in District 9 and had a kickoff return for a touchdown last week.

Following the game, tune into the Advanced Disposal ExploreRadio Overtime Show, which can be heard on D9Sports.com and the ExploreRadio app (ExploreRadio channel) as well as 103.3 FM in Brookville and 104.1 FM in Punxsutawney.
