Car Slams into Utility Pole in Cranberry Township; Shippenville Woman Escapes Injury

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a Shippenville woman escaped injuries in a one-car accident that occurred yesterday on Bredinsburg Road, west of Blackberry Lane, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, 47-year-old Dawn M. Klein, of Shippenville, was traveling west on Bredinsburg Road, negotiating a bend in the road and lost control of her 2010 Honda Civic. The car slid into the eastbound lane and proceeded off the roadway, striking a utility pole with its right rear quarter.

Klein was using her seat belt and escaped injuries.

The car sustained heavy rear end damage and was towed from the scene by Venango Towing.

Klein was charged with a traffic violation.

Seneca Volunteer Fire Department and Community Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
